Retail Review: The MakeUp Eraser

May 10, 2017

Hey friends!

If you’ve been keeping even half an eye on our social media, you’ve probably noticed that we have introduced a lot of new retail lately.

Last week I talked about the MaskerAide sheet and lip masks and my experience with them. When we brought them in, we also brought in the Makeup Eraser. I’m not going to lie to you, I was a skeptic when this bubble gum pink cloth arrived. I mean really, a cloth that can remove even waterproof mascara with nothing but water? Yeah, right.

But after reading the claims and hearing people rave about it, I figured I might as well give it a try. I was not disappointed.

I’ve used a wide variety of different wipes and removers trying to find something that would take off all of my mascara. Everything I had tried left something behind resulting in raccoon eyes and clumpy lashes. I have fairly oily skin, so I hate using products that just make this issue worse. The Makeup Eraser solved all of that!

Now, if you’re like me, you’ll get this thing home and want to use it right away. But following the instructions is key! You need to wash your makeup eraser in the washing machine before using it on your face. Needless to say, I found some laundry to do so I could use mine!

When you’re ready to use it, soak the portion you’ll be using; it should feel wet to the touch. Start with the softer side and rub in circles until you’ve taken most of your makeup off. Then flip it over and use the more porous side to get rid of stubborn mascara and to give your skin some light exfoliation.

You will be shocked when you see how little you have to rub to remove your makeup. And it gets every bit of makeup off my skin and lashes without a lot of scrubbing and left no residue after the fact. I love taking off my makeup when I get home because my skin feels healthy afterwards meaning I don’t have to wash my face immediately after I take my makeup off.

What’s even better is that this cloth is good for up to 1000 washes. I just toss it in with my weekly laundry and it comes out good as new! A pack of makeup wipes generally lasts me about a month, coming out to roughly $2 a week. The Makup Eraser costs $28 and costs roughly $0.02/week. On top of never having to remember to pick up wipes, it gives my wallet a bit of a boost too.

If that’s not enough to convince you, think of how much waste you’re keeping out of the landfill using this little gem! If you wash it once a week and don’t lose it, the wipe could last you up to 19 years! In that time, if you’re using a wipe per day, you could keep 6,935 wipes out of the landfill. That’s pretty incredible if you ask me!

So, what are you waiting for? Come grab yours today! You won’t be disappointed.
